Inspire: Advice & Tips

”To be or not to be’…Well not quite the question…but close enough! You see you could be the person contemplating the subject of the above.  To help you on your decision, let’s consider the great ‘article find’ below.

(BTW do remember to share your opinions with us and our readers, comments, as you know, always appreciated!)

“The “Double opt-in vs Single opt-in” argument is as old as my grandma’s radio.  Some say it’s better to use Single opt-in because often only about 50% of people confirm, which means you get half of the leads you actually generate.

Others agree that Double opt-in is a smart move in a long run since response rates are much higher and there’s no way to get in trouble for SPAM, since the prospect has to double-confirm that he wants to be on your list.

During a recent list building event, Ryan Deiss shared an insight on the issue. He said that he always uses single opt-in, because at the end of the day-he makes more money that way.  The young guru says that by driving more “instant” traffic to his offers-he is able to get more “customer” signups which are far more responsive than the regular “I’ll download your stuff for free” peeps.

The Following is a List of the Top 16 Principles of the Rich!

1. The Broke think everything is too good to be true, while the rich think that getting a job sounds too bad to be true.

2. Broke people give up when things don’t go their way; a few disappointments and they are onto something else, saying things like ‘it wasn’t for me’. The rich work harder and become more determined when things go bad, and understand that you have to take the bad with the good to make it.

3. Broke people always have an excuse. Rich people say ‘my fault’ and refuse to make excuses.

4. Broke people think that not getting what they want is OK. Rich people are disgusted at the thought of not getting what they want and will do whatever it takes.

5. Broke people always have to talk it over with their broke friends to make sure no one will make fun of them if they make a decision. Rich people think for themselves and couldn’t care less what their broke friends think.

6. Broke people are never coachable and teachable. Rich people are always learning, even when the money starts coming in, they never stop learning from those who were there first.

What is the difference between a brilliant idea that is successful and a brilliant idea that is not successful? Kawasaki believes that luck, timing and karma are the keys to success. Karma has to do with whether your product will ultimately make the world a better place, and he believes that the best technologies really do survive.

Parkinson’s Law

There is a law called “Parkinson’s Law” that states that a task will expand to fill the time allocated to it.

In other words, if a task takes 2 hours, and you set your deadline at 2 weeks, you will find a way of dragging it out over 2 weeks.

However, the opposite is true:

If you want to create a product that would normally take a month… set yourself a deadline of one weekend. You WILL find a way of getting it done.

Do you see the importance of setting deadlines?

I got this from Dean Hunt’s website.  I met up with Dean at the Social Media Millionaire Summit. He’s an expert on Personal Branding using social media.  Check out his site http://deanhunt.com

Read Bob Proctor’s Book You Were Born Rich and find out how you really can get what you want.  Below is an excerpt from his book “The 333 Story“:   www.bobproctordownloads.com

I was doing a weekend seminar at the Deerhurst Lodge, north of Toronto.  On Friday night a tornado swept through a town north of us called Barrie, killing dozens of people and doing millions of dollars worth of damage. Sunday night, as I was coming home, I stopped the car when I got to Barrie. I got out on the side of the highway and looked around. It was a mess. Everywhere I looked there were smashed houses and cars turned upside down.

That same night Bob Templeton was driving down the same highway. He stopped to look at the disaster just as I had, only his thoughts were different than my own. Bob was the vice-president of Telemedia Communications, which owns a string of radio stations in Ontario and Quebec. He thought there must be something we could do for these people with the radio stations they had.

The following night I was doing another seminar in Toronto. Bob Templeton and Bob Johnson, another vice- president from Telemedia, came in and stood in the back of the room. They shared their conviction that there had to be something they could do for the people in Barrie. After the seminar we went back to Bob’s office. He was now committed to the idea of helping the people who had been caught in the tornado.

Say Goodbye to Sales Letters....

If salesletters are DEAD (as everyone is saying) then how are YOU going to sell your products?

Salesletters certainly aren’t working as well as they used to …it’s all about VIDEO!  Ryan Deiss has made a short video to show you how he’s working it right now WITHOUT salesletters.

Click the link to see how! https://touchstone.infusionsoft.com/go/vid/viper/

Ryan Deiss’ new method takes about 10% as long to create as a traditional salesletter, makes web design a thing of the past and converts 321% better than his last salesletter.

I can’t stress this enough!

I’ve had a problem in the past with offering freebies to get people to subscribe, but I also know it can work well, if done properly.

Why do I have a problem with it? Well, I really want subscribers to sign up and remain on my list because they want to learn more about list building, not just because of the freebie I’m offering.

The most preferable way to offer a freebie is:

  • To create one yourself and not something you have reprint rights to with other people. You want it to be unique, and you want it to be something that plugs your niche heavily.
  • But, if you have to start by using reprint rights, then do it.   Check  http://www.master-resale-rights.com.

If the content is good and your readers are gaining knowledge from it, then it’s a win win situation.

The main thing is to get started.
